Physical Feature Tutorial

A common area of struggle for writers is how to best convey a character’s physical features to readers. When it comes to the physical details, writers typically fall into one of two camps: those who want to reveal their characters in full so readers will envision them as the author does, and those who supply very little detail because they'd rather dive right into the meat of the scene.

As with most areas of writing, being too minimalist is just as unhelpful as going too far, so finding middle ground is important for keeping the audience engaged and the pace moving forward.
